I recieved a phone call at work TODAY 12/16/2009 from a Mr Jones. He started the conversation by saying I was being takin to court from Cash Advance USA for getting a $300.00 loan initially and when they tried to debt my account for re-payment they had 6 returned Checks and stated I was being prosecuted for writing bad checks and basically stealing this money. He told me I had a right to an attorney and if it went to court Id pay over 8,000 in fines and fees.  He then told me the client is willing to resolve this outside of court but first I had to send an apology letter to them stating that I indeed did owe this and Iam sorry for not re-paying this when I agreed and I that I give them permisson to debt my account for $1045.37. I then told him before I say anything further I was going to check my bank account for this transaction because If I owe it Ill pay it but Im 100% sure this transaction never took place. He then told me I had 30 minutes to return a call to him.
I was offer a loan in a text message and since my credit is bad. I call the number, I notice the heavy accent. But I continue talking. They knew so much about me (phone number, social security, bank routing and checking account). I continue talking. I wanted $2000 he said "No you can have $9000." I decline but he said my funds would be deposited a few hours later after they confirm my account. I immediately took the money out of my account. He calls me 1 hour later and demands my online banking user name!!! I told him I don't have one. So he demands my bank card number!!! I said "No way I would not give you that ever." So I wanted to see how far he would go and he say: "How can you be so stupid not to agree with us so you can get $5000 in your account?" So after that I say "Forget it" and I hanged up.
The application and approval process is fast and simple. The application usually takes just a few minutes, and the only requirements are usually that the applicant be of legal age and have a job. If funds are to be direct deposited, there must a bank account for it to go to, and having an account from which the lender can draft payment could make for better terms. Once application is made, approval can take anywhere from a few minutes to 48 hours, but rarely more than 48 hours. After approval, money can be in had in just a few hours. Sometimes it takes up to 48 hours, depending on the lender’s specific processes, but again rarely longer.

A Lady named Karen, from Utica, NY, in the North, said we owed a PAYDAY Loan Co. and we don't and haven't for a long, long time.  Watch out for her.  She has all kind of threats.  Call US Cash Advance-916-458-5665 and they will tell you, you don't owe them a dime and they have been dealing with scammers for over a year.  Buy a whistle if they have your number, which they don't.  We had it changed.  Don't let her and anyone else from these d**n places scare you.

I received an email from a lawyer with email **. I was told that I owed Cash Advance USA $1200 and many attempts have been made to contact me. I was threatened with wage garnishment, a warrant, and closing my accounts if I did not pay the $1200 today. I contacted the debt settlement and was told they were a collection agency and just doing their job. This was definitely a scam. I never heard of Cash Advance USA and never borrowed any money from them.
I have been applying for a short term loan and received a call from a Justin ** from Cash Advance America, saying I had been approved for a loan for $8,000 and to call them on **. I just read about the scams going around and I have already been scammed by one of the loan companies that said they were one thing but the real company said there were a lot of fraudulent companies using their name.

Consumers should never make payments over the phone or via email to a third party debt collector that refuses to provide a written validation notice. Even if the party seems to have some of your personal or financial information, you should not make payments or provide bank account or credit card information without receiving a written validation notice. If the scammers already have your bank account information, social security number, or other nonpublic information, you may be a victim of identity theft. The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has information for victims of identity theft available online at www.ftc.gov.

I was told I was approved for a $6000 loan. I had to go buy $147 in iTunes gift cards. I had to give them the number of the back of the cards. Which they redeemed after I gave the cards. Then they wanted me to send them $387 to finish my part saying that this will prove that I could pay the loan back, this was my verification process. Cash Advance USA, Dallas Texas ripped me off for $150. Something needs to be done to these con artists.

As you can clearly notice, these criteria do not include high credit scores or any requirements for a security deposit, mortgaging your property or car. The reasons for such minimal requirements start with the legislative conditions for fast loans, where you are not required to have any collateral, or meet any other conditions not listed above. Such schemes allow people with limited financial means to obtain loans fast.
Many people have trouble paying back their cash advance loans, and rollover is common. In fact, 80 percent of cash advances are rolled over or followed by another loan within 14 days of the first.3 And far too often it doesn’t end there. The loan becomes due and borrowers still can’t pay back the lump sum they owe, so what do they do? They roll it over once more and the cycle starts again.

Unlike cash advance loans and credit card cash advances, an employer cash advance is not a loan. The money you receive is yours—it comes straight out of your next paycheck. Not all employers offer cash advances, and those that do may have strict policies that limit the number of times you can request an advance and reserve approval for true emergencies.
People who set goals for a purchase – whether it's a car, television or family vacation – are more apt to reduce unnecessary spending in pursuit of that goal. While other consumers use credit cards to purchase items they can't afford, effective savers rarely spend money they don't have. The next time you decide to invest in a big purchase, review your budget to see where you can make cuts to allocate more funds toward that goal. You can also boost your income to reach your savings goals quicker by taking on side jobs, such as freelance writing, dog walking or another gig that takes advantage of your marketable skills.

In terms of online lending, a cash advance usually refers to a short-term loan that is quickly funded to your bank account after approval. Typically, the amount you borrow for a cash advance loan is relatively small, which often means you can pay it back in only one or two payments. These short-term loans are very similar to what many people call payday loans, but cash advance loans don't always require a single repayment on payday.
