<>All of a sudden I started getting threatening emails from someone stating that if I do not pay an unverified debt that charges would be filed on my name and social security number. I replied back to the individual who emailed me and a demanded that they no longer contact me and that I was submitting a complaint to the CFPB and my Attorney General. They then replied back to me with the name, partial social security number, mailing address, phone number and amount owed of the person they believed to be me. I then sent the email to my Attorney General with my complaint.
<>Consumer Notice: A cash loan, also referred to as a payday loan or payday advance, is a small, short-term loan that is intended to cover a borrower’s expenses until the following payday. <>I was told I was approved for a $6000 loan. I had to go buy $147 in iTunes gift cards. I had to give them the number of the back of the cards. Which they redeemed after I gave the cards. Then they wanted me to send them $387 to finish my part saying that this will prove that I could pay the loan back, this was my verification process. Cash Advance USA, Dallas Texas ripped me off for $150. Something needs to be done to these con artists.
<>Many people have trouble paying back their cash advance loans, and rollover is common. In fact, 80 percent of cash advances are rolled over or followed by another loan within 14 days of the first.3 And far too often it doesn’t end there. The loan becomes due and borrowers still can’t pay back the lump sum they owe, so what do they do? They roll it over once more and the cycle starts again.

<>I have had many tribal loans from many different tribal lenders. Many of them are little more than professional loan sharks. Spotloan gives you a clear payment schedule with a clear payoff date upfront. They don't want you to wallow in a permanent mire of never-ending interest. They want to help you with a short-term solution, not a long-term trap. Absolutely one of the BEST lenders I have ever worked with, including mainstream lenders! Highly recommended!
<>To my suprise I got a call from an Annette ( the company name is now Cash advance now) They are aware of this scam. She verified I had no loan on file and confirmed that it was a scam!! She gave me her # of 888-663-6030 which I called back to verify was a good # which it was. She said if he calls back demand in writing, say to contact your attorney, etc. Do not give any info, ask them to verify what they have on file...more than likely they have last 4 of ssn, and bank acct #. I made the mistake of not asking so I can only guess that they have mine....be careful!!

Tey also sid I would be  arrested and taken to jail for 10 days and then have to pay $8000. t was for a $300 loan from advance cash. So while they held I checked them out and there is not Robbies $ Associates anywhere in the state of washington and I seen this web site and seen this post so when I went back and called them I told them they were nothing but a scam. The lady got very confrontational. and made all kinds of threats and when I laughed she hung up. Now they won't even answer my calls. And if you act responsibly, you’ll save some money by paying on time and taking a loan only when you sincerely need it. If possible, pay the amount as soon as possible and you’ll be a happy intelligent borrower.
<>They contacted me today. Said his name was Michael Ray @ 717-612+4596(which is not a working #) the number they called from 717-724-0000 has been disconnected. He stated I was being sued for no payment on the loan that was deposited in my acct in Sept for $400. While on the phone I got online to check my acct. no funds ever. I had checked into some, but never followed thru. When I told him that he said in his accent that he would have to call me back. I said I would stay on the line. He said he was going to lunch and that he would call me later. I then said I wanted to speak to his manager. He stated he did not have one, I said so you answer to know one?? he got rude and said he would call me back. I asked for the phone number and proof in writing for this supposed loan. He said since it was done online, it was not needed. I then asked for Cash Advances phone # he said I would have to go on their website and get it.
<>It has become clear from numerous reports of this scam, that the scammers have come into posession of a large amount of personal information, including names, addresses, phone numbers, references, bank acct. numbers and social security numbers. Most of those reporting the scam indicate that at some time in the past, they filled out an online loan application. My guess is that these scammers have obtained (most likely illegally) a large database of this personal info.
<>Several consumers also reported receiving phone calls from entities attempting to collect debts owed to Cash Advance, Cash Advance Group, and US Cash Advance. Some of the collection calls came from people who called themselves Brian Wilson, John Murphy, Jim Spencer, and Andrew Martin.
